Kö59 reopened with a new concept: Masterminded by Björn Friday

Completely renovated, redesigned and with a new food concept, the restaurant Kö59 in the Hotel InterContinental is back for its guests with immediate effect. None other than star chef, book author and TV star chef Björn Freitag has developed the culinary thread: Rhenish cuisine with international influences and a focus on local and seasonal products. Actually, the restaurant should have opened on March 20, the invitations to the Grand Opening had already been sent out - but then COVID-19 came along. Now - on August 20 and five months later - the time has come: Britta Kutz, General Manager of the InterContinental, and Björn Freitag opened the Kö59.

Björn Freitag, chef Timo Bosch and the whole team used the forced break to further perfect the culinary creations. And so a varied menu awaits the guests. Whether Königsberger Klopse or Loup de Mer - each of the dishes is a new discovery in terms of taste. The cooperation with local farmers and suppliers guarantees on the one hand the top quality of the dishes and on the other hand a high sustainability.

The interior also presents itself in a completely new style: green marble floors and herringbone parquet meets velvet and leather. The different areas within the restaurant create an open concept, crowned by the wine and champagne bar in the heart of the Kö59.
